CV fuenfriaThe Visitors Center is located close to El Perdón Bridge (Puente del Perdón), in a privileged site from historical and natural perspectives.

The building has a visitor information desk and a multifunctional outside area. On a large notice board are promoted all the activities taking place at the villages belonging to the Lozoya Section of the National Park: Rascafría, Alameda, Pinilla, Lozoya, Navarredonda and San Mamés.

The Visitors Center is accessible for disabled people.

Close to the Visitors Center is located the Arboretum Giner de los Ríos, accounting for a sample of about 200 tree and bush species from deciduous forests of Europe, Asia and America.

How to get there

The Visitors Center is situated at the 27,6 km of the M-604 road.

Driving:

  • From the A-1 motorway (Autovía del Norte Madrid-Burgos), take the 69 exit to the M-604 road direction Rascafría-Lozoya. At Rascafría continue on the same road about 2 km direction to Puerto de los Cotos, up to the Visitors Center in the 27,6 km.
  • From the AP-6 motorway (Autovía del noroeste Madrid-La Coruña), take the 35 exit to the M-601 road direction Collado Villalba-Puerto de Navacerrada. At Puerto de Navacerrada take the M-604 road during 20 minutes to get the Visitors Center.
  • From the M-607 motorway (Autovía de Colmenar, Madrid-Colmenar Viejo-Navacerrada) take the 36 exit to the M-609 road direction Soto del Real, cross that village and then take the M-611 road to Rascafría. From Rascafría continue on that road 2 kms direction Puerto de los Cotos up to the Visitors Center.

On public transportation:

  • - Bus 194 and 194A.
