Inicio de la Campaña de Nieve en la Sierra de Guadarrama

Hoy se inicia la Campaña de Nieve en la Sierra de Guadarrama. Por ello, se publicará semanalmente (todos los jueves) el Boletín de Peligro de Aludes (BPA) que elabora el grupo de predicción de montaña de la AEMET, y que cuenta con la colaboración de diferentes Cuerpos y Organismos, entre los que se encuentra el Parque Nacional de la Sierra de Guadarrama. La validez del BPA será hasta el siguiente fin de semana desde su elaboración.

El BPA es una herramienta fundamental para la planificación de actividades y la gestión del riesgo cuando se acude a la montaña nevada, informando sobre la distribución y el estado del manto nivoso, y se evalúa el nivel de peligro de aludes conforme a la Escala Europea, que va de 1 a 5. También, se da una estimación del tamaño de las avalanchas que pueden ocurrir y se detallan las zonas, orientaciones y tramos de altitud en los que son más probables.
