Law 30/2014 of December 3 on National Parks, establishes in its article 24 that the Board of Trustees is the participating body for society in the National Parks. A Board of Trustees shall be constituted in each of them, and it will have at least representatives from: the Central State Administration, the Communities and Local Administrations, the social agents of the area, as well as those institutions, associations and organizations related to the Park, or whose purposes are consistent with the objectives of this Law.
In its second section, it is provided that the National Parks Board of Trustees will be attached, for administrative purposes, to the Community the National Park is located in. Should any National Parks be located in several Communities, these will reach an agreement for the secondment of the Board of Trustees.
The Decree of March 27, 2014, published in the Official Bulletins of both Communities on March 30, determines the Board of Trustees composition and functions.
